Challenge
As a designer and gamer, I’ve always been interested in the intersection of gaming, fashion and culture. Standard gaming hardware rarely reflects those influences, leaving a gap for players who want controllers that feel as individual as their own style.Solution
I started Jenks Customs as a personal side project and creative experiment. Using PlayStation and Xbox controllers as my canvas, I airbrushed each piece with designs inspired by games, streetwear and cultural touchpoints. The aim was to turn a mass-produced object into a statement piece, something that felt closer to art than standard hardware.

Impact
What began as an experiment quickly grew into a small business. Alongside the sales, the project gave me the chance to explore hands-on craft, develop my own workflows for product design, and connect directly with a community of players who valued originality. It became an outlet to merge my design skills with my interests in culture and gaming, while sharpening the practical skills needed to run a creative venture end-to-end.
